The Purge: Election Year

Plot-
Set two years after the events of Anarchy, Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) is now head of security for Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell)- who is being targeted for assassination on Purge Night for her desire to want to eliminate The Purge completely.

Pros:
•Frank Grillo being a complete bad ass once again. If they didn't already have Shane from TWD, he would've made a great Punisher.
•This franchise seems to get better with each movie. You don't see that too often.
•They really upped the blood and gore.
•Gives you chills with all the parallels between what's happening in this movie and our current political situation.
•Characters that for the most part you actually care about.
•Kept me entertained the whole time. Not once did I feel the urge to check the time on my phone.
•Were able to do a lot with such a low budget.

Cons:
•Candy bar girl. Fuck did she get on my nerves.
•Some rough spots with the dialog.

My Rating: 9/10
